About Our Lessons
We offer private and semi-private Horsemanship & Riding Lessons for beginner to intermediate riders, for children (ages 5
and up) as well as adults. Our goals are to help you develop a solid foundation in safety, horse care and gentle
horsemanship skills, a balanced seat and solid riding skills, all while having a safe and fun experience with horses. The
benefits of working with horses usually go even further to build confidence and self-esteem, improve physical well-being,
enhance decision making and relationship building skills.
It is important to us that our students not only learn how to ride a horse correctly, but also learn to how communicate with
the horse and become a better all around safe horse person on the ground and in the saddle. So, our lessons will include
ground work (grooming, tacking, leading, and other horsemanship skills based on individual level) and the riding lesson in
the arena or occasionally on the trail.
Our Program Director/Head Instructors are certified through CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association), PATH Intl.
(Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International), and 4-H PEP (Proud Equestrian Program). We are
very safety oriented and follow the guidelines of these excellent national equestrian organizations.
Our Horsemanship & Riding sessions generally are available starting in May and last for 6 weeks, with 3-4 sessions
available from May-October, weather permitting. Our lessons are private or semi-private (2-3 riders of similar
ages/abilities). We also offer One-Time lessons for our out of town guests and for those that are not able to committee to a
full 6 weeks.
